WWE: To Air New ‘Mixed Match Challenge’ Show on Facebook Watch

WWE announced earlier today (December 13) that they will air a new show on Facebook Watch starting January 16th, 2018, which will air at the same time as 205Live airs typically.

With Mixed Match Challenge taking 205Live’s spot it leaves the future of that show up in the air. 205Live has been struggling to garner interest since the Cruiserweight Classic. Maybe they will give the show own night on the Network, and move the Cruiserweights back to Orlando in front of the Full Sail crowd because that was when the show was the best. Airing the show in front of a dead crowd that has just watched SmackDown does the Cruiserweights no favor, and takes the viewer at home out of the show.

The GM’s of the two shows announced the participants:

The Raw competitors are:

Women: Alexa Bliss, Alicia Fox, Asuka, Bayley, Nia Jax, and Sasha Banks

Men: Enzo Amore, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Goldust, Finn Balor, Elias, Jason Jordan, Samoa Joe, and one member voted on by the fans

The SDLive competitors are:

Women: Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Naomi, Carmella, Lana, and Becky Lynch.

Men: Shinsuke Nakamura, Jimmy Uso, Rusev, Sami Zayn, Bobby Roode, and one member of the New Day voted on by the fans

Fans can vote on Facebook for the other member at a date to be determined later. It’s also unsure how the teams will be decided, or if they will be voted on by fans as the show happens, or if they will change every week.

Either way, giving the competitors involved, the show has the potential to be a great watch every week.
