Is Balor Club About to Reign on RAW?

This past Monday on RAW, we witnessed the rematch of the SummerSlam 2016 main event between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. In Finn’s corner were his Good Brothers – Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

The end of the match saw Rollins bring back his Blackout, finisher, known as The Curbstomp in WWE, putting Balor away for the 1, 2, 3.

However, when the camera panned back to Gallows and Anderson holding up Finn, his smile was gone. It was replaced with a look of shock, and anger. Could this be a heel turn in the works for Balor Club?

It’s no secret that Gallows and Anderson have been portrayed as heels since they have debuted in the WWE in April 2016. Balor has been the ultimate babyface since he debuted as Hideo Itami’s partner against the Ascension in NXT. He was the longest reigning NXT Champion and the first ever Universal Champion.

Since his alliance with his former Bullet Club brothers, I have wondered if the WWE would take a risk and have Balor turn heel. The WWE is not going to turn their next face of the company Roman Reigns heel, although it would be best for business. Instead, we could see a Finn Balor heel turn as a likely scenario.

A heel Balor Club, led by its namesake, would be a breath of fresh air to RAW. Balor pursuing the Universal Title with Gallows and Anderson getting another shot at the twin red titles. They could run the show.

Balor is one of Hunter’s boys, and if Hunter is taking over, he should allow Balor Club to run roughshod all over the superstars on RAW.  Maybe we could get a mini-invasion on Smackdown Live where Balor Club tries to get AJ Styles to join, only to turn on him. This can set up another match between the two, maybe at SummerSlam.

Or, when Cole, O’Reilly, and Fish get called up, WWE could send them to SmackDown to make a “Bullet Club” style faction on both shows. Which could lead to a Survivor Series tag match to see which faction was better.

Vince and company would be wise to allow Finn Balor to get “OVER” as a heel. It would lead to fresh, new matches. Balor vs. Reigns for the Universal Title is a money maker.

Having the Balor Club help, Finn beat a babyface Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship cements their status as a colossal heel faction.

It’s time for a new faction to rule Monday nights.  It’s time for Balor Club, and it would be just…..too…..sweet!!!!!
