WrestleMania Preview: The Miz (C) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor

Ever since this match was announced, it was widely recognized that it could be the best match of the evening.

WrestleMania is not synonymous with great wrestling, but it has had some wonderfully worked matches in the past, the best of which could be Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin or Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels; this could be one of them.

This Triple Threat match is the third multi-person title match on the card alongside the United States Championship Fatal-Four-Way and the three-way tag match for the Smackdown Titles – note both secondary titles on each brand are being featured in multi-person matches.

The Miz is just days away from becoming the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time and will surpass Pedro Morales who had two reigns over 619 days if he can find a way to beat Rollins and Balor.

Neither The Architect or The Demon have won WWE’s third oldest active title, but both have a very convincing argument to become the 80th holder.

Finn has had highs and lows since giving up his Universal Championship back in 2016.

His return to Raw last year, the night after WrestleMania 33, was met with great applause and even Paul Heyman put him over in a promo during 2017 saying that Brock Lesnar feared him.

However, he got lost in the shuffle, and an awful feud with Bray Wyatt got shunted.

Seth has been on a tear since the turn of the year, putting in a significant shift during the Royal Rumble and then an even more impressive display during Raw’s Gauntlet Match in February.

Known as one of the best performers in the WWE, he has had a run with the Raw Tag Team Titles with both Dean Ambrose and Jason Jordan recently but has been without a singles title since a short WWE Championship reign at Money in the Bank 2016 – The Lunatic Fringe Ambrose cashed in the briefcase just minutes later.

PREDICTION: I think The Miz will successfully defend his IC Title in this match. The Miz is such a good heel, and I think the athletic ability of both Balor and Rollins means they do not need a title right now. It seems as though the feud will continue after the conclusion of WrestleMania, suggesting that it could be a dusty finish that can further the storyline. The Miztourage could play a prominent part as they have done in the last few weeks on television.
