In one of the most hotly anticipated matches on the card, Ronda Rousey makes her professional wrestling debut alongside Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle as they face The Authority husband and wife team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey’s debut has been building for years, ever since she met Roddy Piper as he personally gave her a blessing to use the infamous nickname.
The match comes nearly four years since Stephanie McMahon last laced up her boots, it will be Triple H’s first televised match this year too.
In fact, nobody in the match has been a fully active wrestler in recent years although it seems as though Ronda will be taking a full-time schedule after her debut on The Grandest Stage of Them All – Kurt Angle has taken to the ring twice since rejoining WWE last April.
This match has been building since Elimination Chamber where Ronda signed her Raw contract and subsequently put Triple H through a table.
Although really, this match is three years in the making.
At WrestleMania 31, Ronda Rousey joined The Rock in the ring and hip-tossed Triple H across the canvas before applying a tidy armbar to Stephanie.
Considering this match contains vastly experienced males and inexperienced females, it will be greatly planned spot for spot and one would assume rehearsed thoroughly.
Coming out of WrestleMania, this will probably be the most talked about segment as fans wonder whether Rousey can meet the exceedingly high expectations that have been placed upon her.
Dubbed as the most dangerous woman on the planet, she makes her squared circle debut after spending six years competing in the octagon.
PREDICTION: You’d be crazy to predict anything other than a Ronda Rousey victory in this one. Ronda is one of the biggest female sports stars on the planet, and a win here will begin her journey to greatness within professional wrestling. Kurt Angle and Triple H will probably control most of the wrestling within the ring with limited spots for Rousey and McMahon to handle. It’s well documented that Rousey has trained extremely hard for this moment and her life as a WWE Superstar will begin with a win at WrestleMania 34.
