At WrestleMania 34, The Usos will FINALLY get their chance to shine on the main card. After being on the main roster for just under eight years and a handful of appearances on the pre-show, the Samoans have finally gotten their spot. Jimmy and Jey have had a massive career resurgence in the last two years. They dropped the cartoonish face paint and gear and have fully become themselves, just cranked to 11.
The New Day has been the constant in the WWE tag team division for years. The trio has racked up tag team titles on both RAW and SmackDown Live since their formation. Much like the Usos, it took New Day awhile to get into their characters and fully figure out what they wanted to be. It makes perfect sense that the Usos and New Day have had some of the best matches over the last 12-18 months and have consistently stolen the show each time.
The Bludgeon Brothers are the latest incarnation of the team of Luke Harper and Erik Rowan. The team formerly of the Wyatt Family has been treading water since the Wyatt split and may have finally found their niche. They have made an impact since they debuted with their new characters. They attacked the Usos and New Day at Fastlane, leaving both teams in shambles. Since then they have repeatedly attacked the other teams and forced their way into the tag title match at WrestleMania.
WrestleMania 34 is shaping up to be a big night for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Division. The Usos are looking to cement themselves as the dominant tag team in the WWE. The New Day is looking to add another championship reign to their legendary run. The Bludgeon Brothers are looking to shake the specter of their past lives and continue their run of terror over the tag team division.
The SmackDown Tag Team Division has been the stronger of the two divisions. The addition of the Bludgeon Brothers will only stand to benefit the blue brand as it’s a huge gap between the Usos and New Day and everyone else. The addition of a third top-tier team could mean big things for the SDL tag division. Sunday night is going to be make or break for the blue show and their tag team division.
The Superdome may be the new home of the Uso Penitentiary, the Power of Positivity, or the Land of Darkness. Be sure to stay tuned to Wrestlaholic not only on twitter but right here for match updates, news and live reactions!
