WrestleMania 34: SmackDown Women’s Championship Results and Analysis

One of the more anticipated matches went on earlier than most expected. The two traded strikes early on, with both being more calculated in their moves. Charlotte was the first to take a risk, though it backfired as Asuka countered a moonsault with a triangle choke that would have made Zack Sabre Jr smile with pride.

As the match wore on it seemed as though neither could gain an advantage, though Flair tried with a variety of moves including a Spanish fly. Both women had the chance to lock in their finishers, but much, to everyone’s surprise, it was Flair that was able to lock hers in and end the nearly 920-day streak.

Charlotte was ready for Asuka.
