WWE in the UK: Everything You Need To Know

WWE historically visit Great Britain twice a year, but as they have expanded their company across the Atlantic Ocean, there is plenty of WWE wrestling for UK fans to indulge in.


First up is WWE’s standard live events running from 9th – 18th May.

Wednesday 9th May – Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth

Thursday 10th May – SSE Arena, Belfast

Friday 11th May – 3Arena, Dublin

Monday 14th May (Monday Night Raw) – O2 Arena, London

Tuesday 15th May (Smackdown Live) – O2 Arena, London

Tuesday 15th May – Genting Arena, Birmingham

Wednesday 16th May – Echo Arena, Liverpool

Thursday 17th May – Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle

Friday 18th May – FlyDSA Arena, Sheffield

It’s important to remember, and all talent is subject to change at any time – especially after the Superstar Shake-Up.


For the third consecutive year, NXT talent will be appearing at Download Festival in Donington Park, Derby

Confirmed acts to appear are as follows:

Friday 8th, Saturday 9th, and Sunday 10th June – Kyle O’Reilly, Kairi Sane, Shayna Baszler, Nikki Cross, Ricochet, Velveteen Dream, Adam Cole, Aleister Black

Last year’s event featured matches such as No Way Jose vs. Killian Dain, Ember Moon vs. Peyton Royce, Mark Andrews vs. Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas and Aleister Black vs. Kassius Ohno.

WWE UK Championship Tournament

Following on from 2017’s first UK Championship Tournament, WWE along with NXT will travel across the pond for a two-day event inside London’s historic Royal Albert Hall.

Taking place just days after NXT TakeOver: Chicago, WWE announced that three NXT Championships will be on the line along with a one-night tournament to decide a new number one contender for Pete Dunne’s WWE UK Championship.

The card, as far as we know, is as follows:

Monday 18th June 

  • Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate & Trent Seven vs. Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole and Roderick Strong
  • UK Championship Tournament

Tuesday 19th June

  • Pete Dunne vs. TBA (Winner of Monday’s UK Championship Tournament)
  • NXT North American Championship Match
  • NXT Women’s Championship Match
  • NXT Tag-Team Championship Match

It will be WWE’s first time inside Royal Albert Hall since 1991.
