Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of my Wrestler of the Week column. This week was a really busy one for those in WWE thanks to their huge PPV down in Australia, and one man was extremely impressive at that show. Therefore making this probably the easiest pick I have ever had in this articles short-lived history……
That man is the athletic Australian known as Buddy Murphy, who picked up the biggest victory of his career winning the Cruiserweight Championship in front of a roaring hometown crowd on Saturday morning!
Everything about that match was truly spectacular in terms of both the action and atmosphere. This truly felt like a history-making moment seeing as it was the biggest platform that 205 Live has had to date in its two-year run.
In particular, I loved the babyface fire shown by Murphy throughout the match. Both he and Cedric struggled to survive and come out victorious against the other man. As a result of his victory, Buddy Murphy became the first Australian male to hold a WWE singles title and the first man to pin Cedric Alexander in 367 days.
I personally am very intrigued to see what he does next now that he is the Cruiserweight Champion and that is why he is my Wrestler of the Week.
Thank you for reading this and feel free to give feedback I would really appreciate it.
